Vehicle lifts are a type of forklift used to lift vehicles vertically upwards. The most efficient and most widely used types are hydraulic lifts that operate according to Pascal principle. The pressure applied to the liquid in a container is transferred equally to each point of the container and without losing its volume.
The pressure of the liquid in the container having strong deformable walls is directed to the single point which is free. In this way, the lift performs the lifting function. Thanks to the structural features of the vehicle lift, high pressure is obtained by applying a small pressure to lift very heavy loads.
Vehicle lifts have mechanical parts, electronic parts and additional safety mechanisms. Today's modern lifts are equipped with controllers manufactured with technologies that reduce time and installation errors. Many have integrated valves that improve pressure regulation and improve vehicle and device safety as well as operators. In addition, electronic components include safety systems that ensure the proper operation of the lifts or are activated in hazardous situations.
Depending on the type of work to be done, there are different vehicle lifts. For example, two-mast lifts are generally used to lift light and medium-sized vehicles. The four mast lifts are versatile and can lift heavier loads. Parking lifts are the same logic lifts. It cries the stowage of vehicles to make parking space more efficient.
The standards that are taken as basis in the control and inspection works carried out by the competent authorities are as follows:
TS EN 60204-32 Safety in machinery - Electrical devices in machinery - Part 32: Requirements for hoisting machines
TS ISO 12480-1 Cranes - Safe use - Section 1: General
TS EN 1495 + A2 Platforms - Columnar work platforms
TS EN 13184 Non-destructive testing - Tightness test - Tightness test - Pressure change method
The application is received, the contract is followed and the organization, which product, vehicle and work equipment, what type of survey or inspection is determined.
An expert team is guided by the relevant examinations and the evaluations requested by the organization are performed NDT or visually.
The data obtained as a result of the inspection is evaluated by the expert auditors and the accredited inspection report is submitted to the company.
