Compressors and air tanks are systems that store compressed air using power from an electric motor, diesel or gasoline engine and convert it into potential energy. This equipment compresses more air into a storage tank in a method and raises the pressure.
In today's world of pneumatic operations, there is no moment when compressors and air tanks are not used in factories or workshops. In fact, air compressors in machine history is a relatively new innovation. Previously used aircraft were often complex systems of belts, wheels and large components, which were very large, heavy and costly for small jobs.
As such, it was only used in large enterprises. Today, compressors and air tanks are widely used in enterprises where products are manufactured and installed, in gas stations, automobile workshops and service stations. The list of machines and equipment operating with compressed air is long. Nevertheless, some of the most widely used pneumatic tools are: staplers, drills, grinders, spray guns, nail guns and sanders.
The biggest benefit of compressors and air tanks is that they are compact, relatively light and small in size, as opposed to central power supplies that generally use large engines. In addition, these tools last longer and require less maintenance. It is easier to transport and is much less noisy than old vehicles.
The air compression event is a two-way process in which the air pressure rises when the volume drops. The compression process is carried out with piston technology. The main parts of the compressor and air tanks are the crank, connecting rod, cylinder, piston and a valve. The efficiency of these tools depends on regular inspections and inspections.
The standards that are taken as basis in the control and inspection works carried out by the competent authorities are as follows:
TS 9531 ISO 3857-3 Compressors, pneumatic tools and machines - Terms - Part 3: Pneumatic tools and machines
TS ISO 5389 Turbocompressors - Performance test principles
TS EN 1012 Compressors and vacuum pumps
The application is received, the contract is followed and the organization, which product, vehicle and work equipment, what type of survey or inspection is determined.
An expert team is guided by the relevant examinations and the evaluations requested by the organization are performed NDT or visually.
The data obtained as a result of the inspection is evaluated by the expert auditors and the accredited inspection report is submitted to the company.
