High pressure is required to operate the water and steam boilers. This creates a greater danger than hot oil boilers. Hot oil boilers, unlike water or steam boilers, do not require high pressure.
Furthermore, hot oil boilers are always more economical in terms of operating and maintenance conditions. Besides, it does not cause corrosion and lime deposits in the system are important advantages of hot oil boilers.
Although hot oil boilers are known by many different names, they all work with the same type of closed circuit liquid phase heat transfer system. These systems do not have any evaporation, but still use names such as a thermal oil boiler or a thermal liquid boiler.
Hot oil boilers often cause overheating and contamination. This results in the formation of insoluble substances on the system surfaces and deterioration of the heat transfer surfaces. Precipitation of solids leads to clogging of pipes and valves in the system.
Contamination reduces overall heat transfer efficiency, causes dynamic seals to wear, and even causes combustion and cracking of the heating surfaces. In order to avoid all this, regular maintenance of the hot oil boilers is required.
The standards that are taken as basis in the control and inspection works carried out by the competent authorities are as follows:
TS 2025 General rules for operation, inspection and maintenance of steam boilers
TS EN 13445-5 Pressure receptacles - Non-contact - Section 5: Inspection and testing
TS EN 12952-6 Water tube boilers and auxiliary installations - Part 6: Inspection during manufacture, documentation and marking of pressure-exposed parts
TS 497 Boilers - Steel (welded)
The application is received, the contract is followed and the organization, which product, vehicle and work equipment, what type of survey or inspection is determined.
An expert team is guided by the relevant examinations and the evaluations requested by the organization are performed NDT or visually.
The data obtained as a result of the inspection is evaluated by the expert auditors and the accredited inspection report is submitted to the company.
