These materials are used to cover gaps between different parts of an equipment or to protect the ends of fire extinguishers. By using high temperature resistant ropes, strong gaskets are produced that can withstand both high temperature and flame, molten metal splashes and oil. These yarns are usually made of braided or knitted glass wool coated with iron oxide and red silicone rubber. In general, these ropes are resistant to continuous exposure to temperature up to 260 degrees.

In general, all firefighting materials are heat resistant. Cables, hoses, water pipes and garments protect this way. In addition, these materials are used in many different sectors to protect against heat, flame and molten metal splashes. One task of these materials is to insulate cables, hoses and pipes to reduce energy losses.

Fire blankets used in laboratories and industrial environments are also manufactured from heat-resistant materials and are used to extinguish the flame.

Also protective screens and welding curtains are manufactured from high temperature or fire resistant fabrics. It is combined with materials such as glass fiber and ceramic to increase the resistance level of these fabrics.

For all these purposes, heat resistance and permeability tests are carried out by the competent authorities and the methods and standards published by domestic and foreign organizations are followed.
