Wood Testing

Wood and timber, which are the cornerstones of wood production, are natural organic materials that form the structural texture of trees. These materials consist of cellulose fibers which form an extremely strong material both in tensile and compression. There are generally two types of wood products: natural and processed.

Wood Testing

The natural product is obtained from trees that grow directly in the natural environment. However, processed wood products are obtained by bonding the fibers collected from the trees with the help of laminates, glues or resins. Because they are obtained by a number of processes, they have properties that cannot be found in natural wood products.

The most common reason for testing wood and timber products is to determine their tensile, tensile and flexural strength. Many wood products that undergo mechanical testing are used in construction, furniture and general purpose production. Wood and timber products are tested in various forms and combinations depending on the area of use and the intended use. The measured strength of wood and wood material determines whether it is acceptable for a particular purpose.

For wood products, a number of static and dynamic test methods are applied to determine their suitability for a particular application. In general, these test methods include simple tension, compression and bending tests. For example, in tensile tests, the wood material is placed on a test machine and tension is applied to the ends. In the compression tests of wooden products, the products are pushed towards each other at both ends. In bending tests, the load is applied to the midpoint of the sample.

Processed wood materials are materials that have different properties than the properties of the wood in which they are made. For processed wood materials such as plywood or chipboard, many different processes are applied depending on the desired properties. With these processes, wood products with higher strength and flexibility than natural wood are obtained. Therefore, different methods are applied in the tests of these products.

The methods and standards published by local and foreign organizations are followed in the wood tests performed by the authorized institutions.

Our company also provides wood testing services within the scope of specific testing services. Thanks to these services, enterprises are able to produce more efficient, high performance and quality products in a safe, fast and uninterrupted manner.
Wood testing services within the scope of specific testing services are only one of the services provided by our organization in this respect. Many other specific testing services are also available.
TEST PROCESS

First Evaluation

The application is received, the contract and then the product, vehicle and vehicles for which, what kind of service is determined exactly.

TEST PROCESS

Preparation of Test Medium

The necessary laboratory environment is prepared and the products, tools and instruments requested by the organization are tested by experts with the reference of the existing standards and measurements are made.

TEST PROCESS

Submission of the Report

The data obtained as a result of meticulously completed tests, measurements and analyzes are evaluated and accredited approved reports are submitted by expert engineers.
