For example, the C1503-08 standard developed by the American Testing and Materials Authority (ASTM) is one of them. This standard, which includes silvered flat glass mirrors for indoor use, describes the criteria for the cut size, thickness, color, quality, silver-plated appearance and reflective properties of the mirrors.
The ISO 25537 standard, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), specifies the conditions for mirrors to be used in commercial buildings. This standard covers mirrors with a thickness of 2 to 6 mm.
The JIS R 3220 standard, developed by the Japanese Standards Association (JSA), sets requirements for untreated glass mirrors.
The EN 1036 standard, developed by the German Institute of Standards (DIN), is designed to identify requirements for commercial mirrors made of silver-coated float glass, explain test methods and evaluate mirrors for commercial indoor use.
