Physico-Chemical Analysis

Physico-chemical is a branch of science which examines organic or inorganic chemical systems which are in plain or mixed form by physical methods. By examining the relationships between the physical properties and the composition of a system, the nature of the interactions between the components of this system is determined.

Physico-Chemical Analysis

Physicochemical analysis performed in advanced laboratories is a reliable method of investigating physicochemical systems. The principles of these analyzes date back to the late nineteenth century.

In physico-chemical analysis, different physical properties of systems, generally phase transition temperatures and other thermal properties (such as thermal conductivity, thermal capacity and thermal expansion), electrical properties (such as conductivity and dielectric permeability) and optical properties (refractive index and rotation) ). Furthermore, the rate of transformations occurring in a system, its dependence on the composition of the system and the density, viscosity and hardness values are determined.

X-ray diffraction analysis and microscopic metallography techniques are commonly used in physico-chemical analysis studies.

Physicochemical analysis is an important method for studying systems composed of two, three or more components, for example alloys, minerals, solutions, oxides, semiconductors, superconductors and organic compounds.

For example, the main physicochemical parameters taken into consideration in the investigation of surface waters are the pH value in the water samples, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, turbidity and sodium. High dissolved solids and sodium values indicate that water is unsuitable for drinking purposes.

A number of standards considered in physicochemical analyzes performed in advanced laboratories are:

  • TSE CEN / TS 16800 Guidelines for validating physico-chemical analytical methods

  • TS 10308 ISO 11464 Soil quality - Pretreatment of samples for physical chemical analysis

  • TS EN ISO 18369-4 Optics - Eye-related - Contact lenses - Part 4: Physicochemical properties of contact lens materials

Our company also provides physicochemical analysis services within the scope of other testing services. Thanks to these services, enterprises are able to produce more efficient, high performance and quality products in a safe, fast and uninterrupted manner.
Physicochemical analysis services provided within the scope of other testing services are only one of the services provided by our organization in this respect. Many other testing services are also available.
